printing, the
Digital Color Printer
NC-1000 incorporates
a new threehead
tandem
mechanism developed
by Fujifilm.
This allows the yellow,
magenta and
cyan layers to be printed at a single pass of
the paper, realizing production of an amazing
330 full-color prints (4" ´ 6" size) per
hour. The NC-1000 has been designed to
significantly improve the productivity of digital

High Image Quality and Choice of
Two Print Sizes
The Digital Color Printer NC-1000 utilizes Fujifilm’s exclusive Printpix system. This
system uses special Printpix paper incorporating
yellow, magenta and cyan layers that
generates its own colors when heated by
the thermal heads.
In the Printpix system, each of the dots
making up an image can express any of
16.7 million density-graded colors (256
steps each of yellow, magenta and cyan),
giving clear, faithful reproduction of subtle
shades and halftones with superior tonality
and sharper contrasts. The Printpix printing
system’s Color Creation technology realizes
perfectly balanced prints from digital camera
data using color regeneration developed
through Fujifilm’s highly regarded
photo finishing lab technologies.
The Digital Color Printer NC-1000 is
designed for printing
in two sizes: 102 ´
152 mm (4" ´ 6") and
152 ´ 203 mm (6" ´
8") without borders.
Clean Processing
Since the Printpix system does not require
ink cartridges, ribbons or toner for printing,
there will be a minimum of waste, and the
burden on the environment will be less than
with other printing systems.
Easy and Simple Design
Operation of the
Digital
Color Printer NC-1000 is
very simple. All control
buttons are located on
the upper front panel of
the printer and feature a
user-friendly interface for easy operation.
This commercial-use digital printer only
requires Printpix roll paper and there are no ink cartridges, ribbons or toner
to replace. The result is lower running costs and minimal
maintenance compared to other printing systems.
SCSI-II Compatibility
Since the
NC-1000 has a high-speed
SCSI-II interface, it’s simple to connect
the printer to almost any PC. The printer
can be used with any customized value added
printing system utilizing the SDK
(Software Developer’s Kit) available to all
system integrators for NC-1000 system
development.
Compact, space-saving design
The small footprint (385 (W) ´ 385 (D)
mm/15.2 (W) ´ 15.2 (D) inch) of the Digital
Color Printer NC-1000 requires little floor
space, allowing installation even in stores
with limited room.
