Sony UPD70A Photo Printer features:
  • Superior Color Reproduction: Sony dye sublimation thermal transfer printing technology provides near-photographic quality prints with over 16 million color variations; new gamma controls, color correction tables, and a Picture Quality VLSI IC provide accurate color fidelity and reproduction that is unparalleled.
  • 300 dpi/150 dpi Resolution: A newly developed thermal print head with 2550 individual print elements provides the high resolution required for photo-realistic reproduction of images and text. The 150 dpi mode is available to save time and take advantage of the lower memory and host storage requirements.
  • Downloadable Look Up Table: Developers of custom applications will appreciate the ability to download their own fine tuned color LUTs; these are saved in the printer even with the power turned off.
  • Large Print Size: For full bleed letter size output, Sony oversize media provides an image area up to 8.5 x 11.7 inches.
  • Multiple Media Types: Sony offers several different types of media for the UPD70A. Letter size color, color laminations in both standard and photo grade, black & white, and A4 Plus size color media are available for this printer.
  • High Speed Printing: The fast print speed of approximately 85 seconds does not keep users waiting; and in 150 dpi draft printing mode, 55 seconds beats them all with outstanding image quality and speed.
  • User Selectable Lamination Surfaces: When using the lamination media, four user selectable lamination surfaces are available -- GLOSSY, NON-GLARE, TEXTURE, and MATTE
  • 30 MB Memory: Full frame memory allows for complete image downloading to printer for quick return to application and memory reprints.
